  § 12-19. Precincts within the municipal boundaries of the City of Westwego.

  • The voting precincts within the boundaries of the City of Westwego are arranged as follows:

    (1)

    Precinct One-W. Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Sala Avenue, as projected, and the centerline of the Mississippi River; thence in a southeasterly direction along said centerline of the Mississippi River as it meanders to its intersection with the centerline of the Dugues Canal (boundary of the City of Westwego), as projected; thence in a southerly direction along said centerline of the Dugues Canal (boundary of the City of Westwego), as projected to its intersection with the centerline of Fourth Street; thence in a westerly direction along said centerline of Fourth Street to its intersection with the centerline of Celestine Street; thence in a northerly direction along said centerline of Celestine Street to its intersection with the centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way; thence in a westerly direction along said centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way and continuing in a northerly direction along the north-south extension of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way to its intersection with the centerline of Bridge City Avenue (La. Highway 18); thence in an easterly direction along said centerline of Bridge City Avenue (La. Highway 18) and continuing in a southeasterly direction as it merges with the centerline of River Road to its intersection with the centerline of Sala Avenue, as projected; thence in a northerly direction along said centerline of Sala Avenue, as projected, to its intersection with the centerline of the Mississippi River, the point of beginning.

    Precinct Two-W. Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Emile Avenue and the centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way; thence in a southeasterly direction along said centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way to its intersection with the centerline of Laroussini Street; thence in a southwesterly direction along said centerline of Laroussini Street to its intersection with the centerline of the West Bank Expressway; thence in a northwesterly direction along said centerline of the West Bank Expressway to its intersection with the centerline of Drake Avenue; thence in a northerly direction along said centerline of Drake Street to its intersection with the centerline of Angela Street; thence in a westerly direction along said centerline of Angela Street to its intersection with the centerline of Emile Avenue; thence in a northerly direction along said centerline of Emile Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way, the point of beginning.

    Precinct Three-W. Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Laroussini Street and the centerline of line of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way; thence in an easterly direction along the said centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way to its intersection with the centerline of Avenue E; thence in a southerly direction along said centerline of Avenue E to its intersection with the centerline of the West Bank Expressway; thence in a westerly direction along said centerline of the West Bank Expressway to its intersection with the centerline of Laroussini Street; thence in a northerly direction along said centerline of Laroussini Street to its intersection with the centerline of Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way, the point of beginning.

    Precinct Four-W. Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Avenue E and the centerline of Fourth Street; thence in an easterly direction along said centerline of Fourth Street to its intersection with the centerline of the Keyhole Canal; thence in a southerly direction along said centerline of the Keyhole Canal to its intersection with the centerline of the West Bank Expressway; thence in a westerly direction along said centerline of the West Bank Expressway to its intersection with the centerline of Avenue E; thence in a northerly direction along said centerline of Avenue E to its intersection with the centerline of Fourth Street, the point of beginning.

Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of the Keyhole Canal and the centerline of Fourth Street; thence in a westerly direction along said centerline of Fourth Street to its intersection with the centerline of Avenue E; thence in a northerly direction along said centerline of Avenue E to its intersection with the centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way; thence in an easterly direction along said centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way to its intersection with the centerline of Celestine Street; as projected; thence in a southerly direction along said centerline of Celestine Street, as projected, to its intersection with the centerline of Fourth Street; thence in an easterly direction along said centerline of Fourth Street to its intersection with the centerline of the Dugues Canal (boundary of the City of Westwego); thence in a southerly direction along said centerline of the Dugues Canal (boundary of the City of Westwego) to its intersection with the centerline of the West Bank Expressway; thence in a westerly direction along said centerline of the West Bank Expressway to its intersection with the centerline of the Keyhole Canal; thence in a northerly direction along said centerline of the Keyhole Canal to its intersection with the centerline of Fourth Street, the point of beginning.

Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Drake Avenue and the centerline of the West Bank Expressway; thence in an easterly direction along said centerline of the West Bank Expressway to its intersection with the centerline of the Keyhole Canal; thence in a southerly direction along said centerline of the Keyhole Canal to its intersection with the centerline of Magnolia Street, as projected; thence in an easterly direction along said centerline of Magnolia Street, as projected, to its intersection with the centerline of Central Avenue; thence in a southerly direction along said centerline of Central Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of Lapalco Boulevard; thence in a westerly direction along said center line of Lapalco Boulevard to its intersection with the center line of the Keyhole Canal; thence in a southerly direction along said center line of the Keyhole Canal to its intersection with the center line of the Mayronne Canal; thence in a westerly direction along said centerline of the Mayronne Canal to its intersection with the centerline of the Bayou Segnette Waterway; thence in a northerly direction along said centerline of the Bayou Segnette Waterway, as it meanders to its intersection with the centerline of Drake Avenue, as projected; thence in a northeasterly direction along said centerline of Drake Avenue, as projected, to its intersection with the centerline of the West Bank Expressway, the point of beginning.

Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of the Keyhole Canal and the centerline of the West Bank Expressway; thence in an easterly direction along said centerline of the West Bank Expressway to its intersection with the centerline of the Dugues Canal (boundary of the City of Westwego); thence in a southerly direction along said centerline of the Dugues Canal (boundary of the City of Westwego) to its intersection with the centerline of the Mayronne Canal; thence in a westerly direction along said centerline of the Mayronne Canal to its intersection with the centerline of the Keyhole Canal; thence in a northerly direction along said center line of the Keyhole Canal to its intersection with the center line of Lapalco Boulevard; thence in an easterly direction along said center line of Lapalco Boulevard to its intersection with the center line of Central Avenue; thence in a northerly direction along said centerline of Central Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of Magnolia Street; thence in an easterly direction along said centerline of Magnolia Street, as projected, to its intersection with the centerline of the Keyhole Canal; thence in a northerly direction along the centerline of the Keyhole Canal to its intersection with the centerline of the West Bank Expressway, the point of beginning.
