§ 13-2. Uncontrolled fire or smoke.

  • Any person, owner, proprietor, lessee, manager, agent, or employee knowing of or having knowledge of a fire or smoke condition of a character not permitted by law, or any unattended or uncontrolled fire in any building, structure, tunnel, enclosure, vessel, place, premises, grounds, underground passages of every sort in the parish, also any aircraft using any airport, heliport, airplane landing site or seaplane base in the parish shall cause the immediate transmission of an alarm of fire to the fire department, unless such person has personal knowledge that such alarm has been transmitted. No person, owner, proprietor, lessee, manager, agent or employee, shall make, issue, post or maintain any regulation or order, written, or verbal that would require any person to take any delaying action prior to reporting such conditions to the fire department.
