§ 16-11. Solid waste disposal sites.

(a)

No person shall dispose of solid waste at any site or facility for which a permit for solid waste disposal has not been issued by the state department of environmental quality.

(b)

No person shall establish or construct or operate or maintain or permit the use of a solid waste disposal site or facility without first having obtained all of the required federal, state and local permits.

(c)

Illegal dumping of any solid wastes within the parish is strictly prohibited.

(d)

This section may be enforced by Jefferson Parish Department of Environmental Affairs, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Deputies, and state or federal enforcement officials.
