§ 16-57. Definitions.

  • For the purposes of this article, the following terms are defined:

    Incinerator means any device or retort or container which is maintained or constructed or used for the purpose of burning waste materials.

    Pathological incinerator means an incinerator specifically designed, constructed and operated for the purpose of burning potentially infectious waste, bandages, discarded medical supplies, parts of human or animal bodies; et cetera, from hospital clinics, veterinary clinics, mortuaries, and research or commercial laboratories.
