§ 20-3. Conduct of passengers aboard public buses.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to smoke upon and while being conveyed on any bus operating on a fixed route.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to play a radio receiver or cassette recording device, except when used with an earphone attachment, on any bus operating on a fixed route.

    (c)

    It shall be unlawful for any passenger to consume foodstuffs and beverages on any bus operating on a fixed route. Nothing in this section shall be construed as prohibiting a driver of any such bus from consuming foodstuffs and beverages in that bus.

    (d)

    It shall be unlawful to impede public transit operations by creating a public nuisance, destroying property, abusing the driver or other passengers, or interfering with the collection of fares or refusing to pay the required fare.
