§ 20-6. Holidays; option for banks.

  • Pursuant to Act No. 111 of the Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature of 1976, [R.S. 1:55], the parish council hereby declares that whenever December twenty-fifth, January first or July fourth falls on a Sunday, the next day is a holiday. When December twenty-fifth, January first or July fourth falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday is a holiday. Such holidays shall be an optional holiday for banking institutions and each bank may, each at its option, remain open and exercise all of its regular banking functions.
