§ 23-114. Regulations governing former employees in supervisory positions.

  • (a)

    General rule. No former public employee who served in a supervisory position shall, for a period of two (2) years following the termination of such employment, assist another person, whether or not for compensation, in any transaction or in any appearance in connection with any transaction, involving the agency or department of the parish with which such former employee was last employed.

    (b)

    Share in compensation. No former public employee in a supervisory position shall share in any compensation received by another person for assistance which such former public employee is prohibited from rendering by subsection (a).

    (c)

    Partnerships. No partnership of which a former public employee in a supervisory position is a partner, and no partner or employee of such a partnership, shall, for a period of two (2) years following the termination of his public employment, assist another person in any transaction or in any appearance in connection with any transaction involving the parish in which such former public employee in a supervisory position at any time participated during his public employment.

    (d)

    Termination of public employment. For purposes of this section, the termination of a former public employee's employment in a supervisory position with the agency or department by which he was employed when he so participated shall be deemed to be the termination of his public employment.
