§ 23-131. Standards generally.

It shall be deemed incompatible with the discharge of his responsibilities for any elected official to accept any compensation or anything of economic value in any circumstance which would result in the use of public office for private gain or the granting of preferential treatment to any person doing business with the parish or involved in a transaction with the parish.
