§ 23-151. Penalties for violation of the financial disclosure provisions.

  • (a)

    Each violation of any of the provisions of this division shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding six (6) months or by both such fine and imprisonment, within the discretion of the court.

    (b)

    In addition, any violation of any of the provisions of this division by any parish employee shall be grounds for the immediate suspension or dismissal from parish service of the person found to be in violation.

    (c)

    Nothing in this division shall require the disclosure or reporting of income derived from child support and alimony payments contained in a court order or from the reporting or disclosure of income derived from disability payments from any source.
