§ 23-260. Compliance with Internal Revenue Code provisions.

The board of trustees shall promulgate rules and procedures and take such other actions as may be necessary to comply with the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, including any successor thereto, applicable to qualified governmental retirement plans. The provisions of the retirement system shall thereafter consist of this division, together with such rules and procedures as may be promulgated by the board. The board of trustees shall send to the parish clerk copies of any rules and procedures which it may promulgate under the authority granted by this section.
