§ 23-294. Guaranty.

  • (a)

    The maintenance of annuity reserves as provided for, and regular interest creditable to the various funds as provided in sections 23-272—23-277 of this division, and the payment of all pensions, annuities, retirement allowances, refunds and other benefits granted under the provisions of this division, are hereby made obligations of the pension accumulation fund. All income, interest and dividends derived from deposits and investments authorized by this division shall be used for the payment of the said obligation of the said fund.

    (b)

    Any member eligible for retirement, who does not have Social Security coverage at the time of his retirement is hereby guaranteed that he will not get less benefits under this system then those provided by the Federal Social Security Laws in effect at the time of his retirement.
