Conclusion. The Jefferson Parish Greenprint model has been developed using the best GIS data sets available at this time. By its nature, the model is dynamic, and may be updated as new information is generated. In order to maintain the integrity of the process, any update will require that a stakeholder committee be assembled and consulted, and if necessary, the model criteria re-weighted.

As investments are made and Jefferson's goals are achieved over the course of the next several years, the stakeholders will need to revisit the Greenprint and make adjustments to reflect more current needs.

The Jefferson Parish Greenprint offers the parish leaders, partners and residents a flexible communication tool to use for its park and recreation planning, greenway and trail development, resource restoration and protection activities, and waterfront access. This report is designed for use not just by the parish, but also by community groups and businesses to support implementation of the greenprint so that Jefferson Parish can remain and thrive as a great place to work, to live and to play.
