§ 26-11. Definitions

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the following meaning unless the context clearly indicates a different meaning is intended:

Application shall mean the form supplied by the office which sets forth information required for the permit.

Moving event shall have the meaning and apply to a procession of pedestrians and/or vehicles along or upon a dedicated street, road or highway under the control of the Parish of Jefferson, but shall not mean a Mardi Gras parade, St. Patrick's parade, Irish/Italian parade, Little Rascals parade, or a funeral procession, wedding procession or a government or military motorcade, or an elementary or high school motorcade, provided such school motorcade has a police escort.

Office shall mean the office of carnival and special events of the Department of Citizens' Affairs for the Parish of Jefferson.
