§ 27-85. Consolidated Drainage District No. 2.

(a)

Creation There is hereby created the Consolidated Drainage District No. 2 of the Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana, comprising, embracing and including all of that territory within the following boundaries:

Commencing at a point, said point being the intersection of the Jefferson-St. Charles Parish line with the centerline of the Mississippi River; thence southerly along said boundary line between Jefferson and St. Charles Parishes to its intersection with the southern right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 90; thence in an easterly direction along the said southern right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 90 to the western boundary line of the Lake Cataouatche Protection Levee; thence in a southeasterly direction along the western boundary of said protection levee; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of said protection levee and its extension to the southeast corner of Section 21, T14S, R23E; thence easterly along the north line of Section 73, T14S, R23E, to its intersection with the south line of Section 91, T14S, R23E; thence southeasterly along the line dividing said Sections 73 and 91 to the southeast corner of said Section 91; thence along a line dividing said Sections 73 and 90, T14S, R23E from the southwest corner of said Section 90 to the southeast corner of said section 90; thence northeasterly along the line between said sections 73 and 90 from the southeast corner of said Section 90 to the intersection of the south line of Section 22, T14S, R23E; thence easterly along the line dividing said Sections 73 and 22 to the northeast corner of said Section 73; thence southerly along the line dividing Sections 72 and 73, 76 and 77, 79 and 80, 83 and 84, T14S, R23E; thence southerly along the projection of said line between said Sections 83 and 84 to its intersection with the north boundary line of T15S; thence southerly along the line between Sections 4 and 5, T15S, R23E to the intersection of said line with the north line of Section 10, T15S, R23E; thence southwesterly along the northwestern line of said Section 10 to its northwest corner; thence southeasterly along the west line of said Section 10 and/or the projection of said west line of said Section 10 to its intersection with the centerline of the Intracoastal Waterway (Bayou Barataria); thence southwesterly along the centerline of said Intracoastal Waterway (Bayou Barataria) to the western point of departure of the centerlines of said Intracoastal Waterway and said Bayou Barataria; thence southward and westerly along the centerline of said Intracoastal Waterway to its intersection with the centerline of the Pailet Canal; thence southeasterly along said centerline of the Pailet Canal to a point 2,000 feet West of the centerline of Bayou Barataria; thence southerly and easterly on a line parallel to and 2,000 feet West of, the centerline of said Bayou Barataria to its intersection with the north line of Bayou Rigolettes; thence eastward along said north line of Bayou Rigolettes to the centerline of Bayou Barataria; thence southerly along the centerline of Bayou Barataria to its intersection with the centerline of Bayou Dupont; thence easterly along the centerline of Bayou Dupont to the line dividing Sections 5 and 6, T17S. R24E; thence northerly along the division line between Sections 5 and 6, T17S, R24E; thence northerly along the division line between Section 5 and 6, T17S, R24E; Sections 45 and 46, 53 and 54, 55 and 56, 62 and 63, 64 and 65, and 68 and 69, T16S, R24E, to the intersection of said line with the boundary line between T15S and T16S; thence easterly along said boundary line between T15S and T16S to its intersection with the boundary between Jefferson and Plaquemines Parishes; thence northerly along said Parish line to its intersection with the centerline of the Intracoastal Waterway (Bayou Barataria); thence along said centerline of the Intracoastal Waterway (Bayou Barataria) in a northeasterly direction to the eastern point of departure of said Intracoastal Waterway and said Bayou Barataria; thence in a northeasterly direction along the dividing line between Jefferson Parish and Plaquemines Parish to its intersection with the dividing line between Jefferson Parish and Orleans Parish; thence in a northwesterly direction along the dividing line between Jefferson Parish and Orleans Parish to the west bank of the Mississippi River; thence in an upstream direction along the west bank of the Mississippi River to the point where the Jefferson Parish and Orleans Parish line meet on the east bank of the Mississippi River; thence proceed in northerly direction along the dividing line between Jefferson Parish and Orleans Parish to its intersection with Lake Pontchartrain; thence proceed in a westerly direction along the dividing line of Jefferson Parish and Lake Pontchartrain to its intersection with the dividing line of St. Charles Parish and Jefferson Parish; thence proceed in a southerly direction along the dividing line between Jefferson Parish and St. Charles Parish; to a point in the center of Mississippi River, said point being the point of beginning.

(b)

Official designation. The drainage district created in this section shall be known and designated as "Consolidated Drainage District No. 2 of the Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana."
