§ 27-105. Same—Delinquent charges; suit after thirty-one days.

  • All service charges under this division shall be delinquent if not paid thirty-one (31) days after receipt of the bills. When a service charge has become delinquent, it shall remain delinquent until the total service charges due plus ten (10) percent has been paid. If a delinquent account is not paid within thirty-one (31) days after receipt of bill, the department shall refer to its appropriate legal representative the names of the delinquent accounts with such other pertinent information as may be required, and suit shall be instituted immediately against such delinquent parties to recover the delinquent charges, together with penalties, interest at the legal rate and reasonable attorney's fees.
