§ 27-155. Claims for credit; assessed fees.

  • (a)

    Claims for credit or charges for any verified product usage shall be made within one (1) year from the date the discharger was billed for that volume of metered water for which the product usage is claimed. The parish shall not make adjustments for user credit or charges if those charges were assessed more than one (1) year prior to the submission of a request for such adjustments.

    (b)

    The minimum user's fee as defined in section 27-152(b) shall be assessed to industries only when the sum of their monthly volume and excessive strength charges amount to a sum less than the monthly minimum charge.

    (c)

    The assessed volume and excessive strength charges shall be due and payable on the due date of the basic sewerage service charge and payment of either charge shall not be accepted without concurrent payment of the other charge.

    (d)

    The fees established herein shall become effective, assessed and collected on the first billing cycle of the parish department of water, ten (10) days after final adoption.
