The procedure to pave or otherwise improve streets and alleys, including sidewalks
and curbing, and the procedure to defray the costs of the improvements, in whole or
in part, by the levying and collecting of special taxes or local assessments on all
real estate abutting the streets, alleys, sidewalks, or curbing to be improved or
constructed, shall be in accordance with Title 33, Chapter 7, Part II of the Louisiana
Revised Statutes or any other applicable provisions of state law.
