§ 29-173. Thickness of driveways; cement specifications; omission of steel reinforcement.

  • All standard driveways shall be six (6) inches in thickness and all heavy duty driveways shall be eight (8) inches in thickness. Driveways shall be formed of Portland cement concrete, which shall have a compressive strength of three thousand pounds (3,000) per square inch in twenty-eight (28) days, and contain a minimum of five and one-half (5½) bags of cement to a cubic yard. Where reinforced concrete roadway pavement is adjacent to the driveway, the steel reinforcement may be omitted in the driveway.
