§ 2-18. Office of administrative assistants for councilmembers-at-large and district councilmembers.

  • (a)

    Offices created. The following principal offices are created:

    (1)

    Office of administrative assistant, to the councilmember-at-large, Division A (two (2) positions);

    (2)

    Office of administrative assistant, to the councilmember-at-large, Division B (two (2) positions);

    (3)

    Office of administrative assistant, to the councilmember, District 1 (two (2) positions);

    (4)

    Office of administrative assistant, to the councilmember, District 2 (two (2) positions);

    (5)

    Office of administrative assistant, to the councilmember, District 3 (two (2) positions);

    (6)

    Offices of administrative assistants, to the councilmember, District 4 (two (2) positions);

    (7)

    Office of administrative assistant, to the councilmember, District 5 (two (2) positions).

    (b)

    Appointment. Upon the recommendation of the respective councilmember, the parish council shall approve the appointment of administrative assistant(s).

    (c)

    Supervision. Administrative assistant(s) shall serve under the general supervision and at the pleasure of the councilmember to whom they are assigned.

    (d)

    Salaries. The salaries of administrative assistant(s) shall be as set forth in the executive pay plan.
