§ 2-32. Duties of assistant parish attorney at council meetings.

  • The parish attorney shall designate one (1) assistant parish attorney to serve the council in all matters requiring legal judgment and interpretation. The assistant parish attorney assigned to the parish council shall:

    (1)

    Serve as permanent legal counsel to the parish council during council meetings;

    (2)

    Attend all council meetings and serve as a liaison between the council and the parish attorney;

    (3)

    Act as the parliamentarian during meetings of the parish council to settle disputes concerning points of order according to Robert's Rules of Order.
