§ 2-288. Duties of director.

The director of water shall:

(1)

Provide policy development and management guidance in the area of water;

(2)

Evaluate department operations in water and report to director of public works on a regular basis;

(3)

Be responsible for capital facilities planning;

(4)

Counsel with the director of public works on policy decisions affecting water;

(5)

Direct administrative and field staff;

(6)

Direct the water department in formulating and evaluating operating policies, programs and procedures;

(7)

Prepare reports on departmental operations evaluating performance against established objectives, and special reports on operating problems or plans as required;

(8)

Coordinate budget formulation activities in the water department;

(9)

Prepare policy statements and plans for the water department under the direction of the director of public works.
