§ 2-333. Duties of director.
The director of central garage shall:
(1)
Manage department operations of central garage, including establishment of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for parish vehicles and repair and maintenance of parish vehicles;
(2)
Provide policy guidance to the president in the area of the central garage;
(3)
Direct administrative and field staff assigned;
(4)
Formulate and evaluate operating policies, programs and procedures relating to central garage;
(5)
Prepare reports on departmental operations evaluating performance against established objectives, and special reports on operating problems or plans as required;
(6)
Coordinate budget formulation and management activities in the department of central garage;
(7)
Centralize control and standardization of specifications and purchase of vehicles and operating equipment, with cooperation of all directors, to provide greater standardization and improved efficiency/usage.
