§ 2-406. Department and position of director created.

The animal shelter department and the position of director of the animal shelter department are hereby created, which department and position shall have direct administrative supervision over the animal shelter and animal welfare and control functions of the parish, including but not limited to the enforcement of animal welfare ordinances and for the collection, impounding, seizing or holding, care and disposal of animals in the parish.
