§ 2-511.1. Qualifications and appointment of director.

  • (a)

    Qualifications. The director of adult supervision and corrections shall be qualified by education and training, possess a thorough knowledge of the adult criminal justice system and pre-trial services programs generally, demonstrate an ability to manage administrative operations and oversee program development, have proven oral and written communication skills, demonstrate leadership ability in a local government setting, be familiar with residential operations for adult offenders, and demonstrate a commitment to community-based programming for adult offenders. The director of adult supervision and corrections shall also have the requisite educational and work experiences.

    (b)

    Appointment. The director of adult supervision and corrections shall be appointed by the parish president with the approval of the parish council.

    (c)

    Salary. The salary of the director of adult supervision and corrections shall be established by the parish president within group II of the executive pay plan.
