§ 2-511.2. Duties of the director of adult supervision and corrections.

  • The duties of the director shall include but not be limited to the following:

    (1)

    Develop and operate community-based programs for pre-trial and convicted offender populations;

    (2)

    Develop an offender assessment unit;

    (3)

    Develop a supervision services unit that includes, but is not limited to, programs to supervise and track offenders released pre-trial, home incarceration, and pre-trial diversion and counseling;

    (4)

    Develop and operate an intermediate sanctions facility;

    (5)

    Ensure that there exists an appropriate continuum of community-based services and sanctions for adult offenders; and

    (6)

    Coordinate with the director of the community justice agency and the director of administrative and planning services on issues of master planning, research, evaluation, and funding.
