§ 2-141. Authority granted to institute proceedings in behalf of the parish, its officials, departments, etc.

  • (a)

    The department of law is hereby given the authority to institute any and all proceedings in law and/or in equity, whenever it is to the best interest of the parish council, the parish, its departments, agencies, districts and/or officers.

    (b)

    The department of law is specifically authorized and empowered to bring injunctive or other civil action, in the name of and on behalf of the parish, its departments, agencies, districts and/or officers, against any person, firm or corporation, or officer, agent or employee thereof, to enjoin, abate or halt any acts or practices which may violate the provisions of this Code.
