Unless otherwise specifically provided, the parish attorney shall serve as agent for
service of process in all suits instituted against the parish council, the parish,
its departments, agencies, boards, districts and/or officers.
(b)
Hereafter, a copy of the council resolution approving the appointment of the parish
attorney shall contain the appropriate designation as agent for service of process
in accordance with this section, and a copy of said resolution shall be filed with
the secretary of state.
