§ 2-148. Conditions and restrictions for attorneys employed by the department of law.

  • (a)

    No attorney who is employed full-time by the Jefferson Parish Department of Law shall during the time of such employment provide legal services for any other employee of the parish, for any business owned by any other employee of the parish or for any person or entity which has or is seeking to obtain a contractual relationship with Jefferson Parish or with any of its agencies, divisions or special districts, unless said legal services are provided solely within the course and scope of the attorney's duties and responsibilities as an employee of the department of law.

    (b)

    No attorney who is employed full-time by the Jefferson Parish Department of Law shall during the term of such employment enter into any contractual relationship with any other employee of the parish, with any business owned by any other employee of the parish or with any person or entity which has or is seeking to obtain a contractual relationship with Jefferson Parish or with any of its agencies, divisions or special districts, unless such contractual relationship is solely within the course and scope of the attorney's duties and responsibilities as an employee of the department of law.
