§ 2-163.2. Duties of director.

  • The director of purchasing shall be responsible for:

    (1)

    The development and administration of a system of purchasing for all public works projects, labor, materials, supplies, equipment and services for all departments in the parish which includes authority to issue purchase orders as necessary, within the purchasing requirements promulgated by the Jefferson Parish Council and the Louisiana Legislature;

    (2)

    The hiring, training and professional development of purchasing personnel.
