§ 2-183. Duties of director.

The director of planning shall:

(1)

Provide policy development and management guidance to the areas of development regulation and comprehensive, strategic, or neighborhood planning;

(2)

Counsel with and assist the parish president and the parish council on decisions affecting development regulation, planning and overall issues of parish government;

(3)

Prepare reports on land use actions evaluating proposals against regulatory standards and planning objectives, and special reports on planning related problems or plans as required;

(4)

Coordinate all planning related work efforts undertaken by the regional planning commission for Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, and Tangipahoa Parishes as they relate to Jefferson Parish in particular and to the region in general.
