Division 16. COMMUNITY ACTION ADVISORY BOARD |
§ 2-732. Composition.
The community action advisory board shall be composed of twenty-one (21) members and seven (7) alternates, as follows:
(1)
The parish president or his designee;
(2)
A councilperson at large Division A or B and councilpersons from Districts 1, 2, and 3 or an appointed representatives of the council at large Division A or B and representative of Districts 1, 2 and 3 each, as designated by the council. The council must fill their appointed seats if there is a vacancy within 100 days of vacancy;
(3)
A representative from the division of children and family services;
(4)
Sheriff of the parish, or his designated representative;
(5)
A representative on behalf of a member of the local judiciary bodies;
(6)
One (1) representative and one (1) alternate designated by the Marrero Community/Senior Center;
(7)
One (1) representative and one (1) alternate designated by the Hazel Rhea Hurst Community Center;
(8)
One (1) representative and one (1) alternate designated by the Dorothy Watson Center;
(9)
One (1) representative and one (1) alternate designated by the Bridge City Community Center;
(10)
One (1) representative and one (1) alternate designated by the J.C. Simmons, Sr. Community Center;
(11)
One (1) representative and one (1) alternate designated by the Harvey Community Center;
(12)
One (1) representative and one (1) alternate designated by the Gretna Community Center;
(13)
One (1) representative of the Parish Community Programs Departments;
(14)
One (1) representative from the Parish electric utility provider;
(15)
One (1) representative of the Head Start Policy Council;
(16)
Three (3) representatives shall serve as at-large members at the request of the Director of JeffCAP.
