The coastal zone management committee shall be composed of twenty-one (21) members
and representing as many of the following interests as possible, such as: The oil-gas
industry, agriculture and forestry, commercial fishing and trapping, sport fishing,
hunting and recreation, ports and shipping, nature preservation—environmental protection,
landowners, municipalities, solid minerals, industrial development, parish council
member(s), parish planning department, wildlife and fisheries, tourism commission,
fish or shellfish processors, and the parish coastal zone management agency. The membership
shall be named by and serve at the pleasure of the council.
