§ 2-614. Terms.
(a)
Initial terms of the members of the evaluation committee appointed by professional societies shall be staggered as follows: The member appointed by the American Institute of Architects shall serve an initial term of one (1) year, the member appointed by the Louisiana Engineering Society shall serve an initial term of eighteen (18) months and the member appointed by the Consulting Engineers Council of Louisiana shall serve an initial term of two (2) years. Thereafter, these members shall serve for two-year terms. The Louisiana registered professional engineer in the classified or un-classified employ of Jefferson Parish shall serve a two-year term and may not serve two (2) consecutive terms. The director of the department directly involved with the project under consideration, or the engineering director acting as his representative, and for hospital service district projects, the hospital president and CEO, or his designee, shall serve ad hoc for those projects.
(b)
Any vacancies on the committee shall be filled for the remainder of the unexpired term, if applicable, in the manner of appointment specified for the vacant position.
