§ 2-908.5. Time period for holding bids.

  • All specifications for the undertaking of any public construction contract shall contain a provision that bid prices shall remain in effect during the period between the bid opening and the award of a contract; the department shall within the time limit set forth in state statutes, more particularly R.S. 38:2215, recommend to the council that the contract be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or that all bids be rejected. The parish and the lowest responsible bidder, by mutual written consent, may mutually agree to extend the deadlines for award by one (1) or more extensions of thirty (30) calendar days.
