§ 2-916. Electronic receipt of bids.

  • (a)

    Advertisement for bids shall be required, pursuant to the regulations contained in state statutes, more particularly R.S. 38:2212.1(A)(1), for the purchase of materials and supplies in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), and for all public works in excess of the contract limit, as defined in R.S. 38:2212(A)(1)(d).

    (b)

    Bids may be submitted to parish through a uniform and secure electronic interactive environment. If the parish elects to accept bids by this electronic medium, any special condition or requirement for the submission shall be specified in the advertisement for bids. If bids are to be accepted electronically, the advertisement shall contain the electronic address of the public entity and shall establish the specific times for public access to the electronic interactive environment for purposes of submission of bids. For all public works exceeding the contract limit set forth in LA R.S. 38:2212(A)(1)(d) and all bids over the dollar amount established in LA R.S. 38:2212.1(A)(1)(a), the parish shall follow all requirements for the electronic receipt of bids as set forth in LA R.S. 38:2212(f).
