§ 2-935.10. Definitions.

  • As used in this division:

    Design-build project or contract means a project or contract let to a single legal entity to provide services for both the design and construction phases of said project or contract, as authorized by applicable Louisiana law and this section.

    Designer-builder means the single legal entity to which a design-build project or contract is awarded or to which Jefferson Parish is considering the award of such a contract.

    Specialized review committee means the committee as established in section 2-626 for the evaluation of technical proposals for all design-build projects or contracts under consideration by Jefferson Parish.

    Technical review committee means the members of the technical evaluation committee as created by and defined in section 2-611, et seq., of the Jefferson Parish Code of Ordinances, sitting as a technical review committee for design-build proposals and submittals to provide services on design-build projects or contracts. Each member of the technical review committee shall be considered to be a "public servant" for purposes of the code of governmental ethics. For purposes of this division, the term "professional services" under section 2-611(1) shall be read as "design-build services".

    Person or firm submitting means any person or firm interested in being considered for selection to perform services for the parish on a design-build project or contract.
