The department of general services and procurement of the parish is hereby authorized
to sell movable property owned by the parish, without the necessity of newspaper advertising
of the property, provided the best value of the property does not exceed five hundred
dollars ($500.00).
(b)
If an offer made the for the property exceeds five hundred dollars ($500.00), the
department of general services and procurement is hereby directed to cause the property
to be advertised.
