Filing and recordation generally. Within ten (10) days of the planning director's dated signature, which shall indicate final approval, the planning director shall convey the approved plat to the clerk of court for recordation. Any plat so approved shall have the same force and effect and legal status of a subdivision application approved by council ordinance.

    (b)

Recordation pending sale. If a lot, parcel or tract of land for which an applicant has requested a subdivision is the subject of a purchase agreement and the sale of the lot, parcel or tract of land is predicated on approval of the subdivision, then the applicant shall provide written statement of such fact in the application. Within sixty (60) days of the dated signature of the planning director for a minor subdivision, the applicant shall submit to the planning director a copy of the recorded act of sale that executed the sale of the subject lot, parcel, or tract of land. The planning director shall notify the applicant in writing of the impending deadline if receipt is not timely. If the applicant fails to submit a copy of the act of sale within sixty (60) days then the planning director shall file an act of release, on a form approved by the parish attorney's office, with the clerk of court to provide inscription that releases the property from the recorded plat.
