§ 33-6.8.1. Purpose.

The purpose of these regulations is to provide criteria so that new buildings blend into the architectural framework of Jefferson Parish and provide a satisfactory visual appearance. These standards:
(1)

Provide a more pleasant living environment by preventing garages from dominating the views of the neighborhood;

(2)

Ensure compatibility among housing types while permitting diversity in the types of housing communities; and

(3)

Enhance public safety.
