§ 36-114. No permit fee required of certain designated organizations; discretion of parish engineer.

  • (a)

    The traffic engineer may upon receipt of proper application but without collecting a service fee, issue permits and install signs for freight curb loading zones at hospitals, churches, charitable agencies and other institutions not operated for profit and at buildings used for the conduct of business by the federal government, the state government or parish authorities.

    (b)

    Freight loading zones may be installed at the discretion of the traffic engineer without receipt of application or collection of a service fee at any location where it is necessary to expedite the loading or unloading of freight or to prevent the obstruction of traffic.
