§ 36-204. Definitions.

  • The following words and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them:

    Boards shall mean any material used to alter the height of the sidewalls to a height equal to that of the tailgate.

    Box shall mean that part of the truck body that contains and confines the bulk material.

    Inspector shall mean any person representing the parish on the project for the purpose of tabulating and approving the volume of material used in the project.

    Material shall mean any bulk construction material, such as river-sand, clam shell, sand-shell mixtures, etc., for which payment is to be made on a delivered volume basis.

    Project shall mean any construction activity in the parish for which the parish council is the legal administrative authority or for which the parish is the legal owner.

    Sidewall shall mean the sides of the box.

    Tailgate shall mean the rear wall of the box.

    Truck shall mean any vehicle used in the transportation of bulk construction materials.
