§ 38-13. Refusal to pay legal fare.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person/business to refuse to pay the legal fare of any vehicle regulated by this chapter after having hired said vehicle; and it shall be unlawful for any person/business to hire any such vehicle with intent to defraud the person/business from whom it is hired of the value of such service.

(b)

Any violation of the provisions of this section shall subject the offender to those penalties provided in sections 1-10 and 1-11 of this Code and/or applicable state statutes.
