§ 39-13. Raw water intake regulations.

(a)

Pursuant to the provisions of R.S. 33:3815.3 and 34:844 the following locations are designated as water intake facilities:

(1)

Eastbank Raw Water Intake Pump Station No. 2, 3600 River Road, Jefferson, LA 70121, 105.4 miles A.H.P.

(2)

Westbank Upstream Intake Station, 4604 ½ River Road, Marrero, LA 70072, 99 miles A.H.P.

(3)

Westbank Downstream Intake Station, 4602 River Road, Marrero, LA 70072, 99.1 miles A.H.P.

(b)

The Jefferson Parish Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1 shall clearly mark each such water intake zone protecting a water intake facility with signs or other markings on the bank designating the limits of the restricted area. Such signs or markings shall be a size or nature so as to be clearly visible and readable to adequately warn persons approaching the restricted area.

(c)

Any person on a vessel, watercraft or any other object, operating on the Mississippi River in said water intake zones or restricted areas shall be subject to the provisions of LSA R.S. 33:3815.3 and 34:844.
