§ 40-2. Title and purpose.

This chapter shall be known, referred to, and cited as "The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, as amended, of the Parish of Jefferson, Louisiana." The purpose of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is to protect and promote public health, safety and general welfare through a set of regulations and procedures for the use of land which are consistent with and implement the Jefferson Parish Comprehensive Plan, as adopted.
