Chapter 40. COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE |
Article XXXVIII. MANUFACTURED HOMES AND MOBILE HOMES |
§ 40-718. Permanent installations.
The board of zoning adjustments may grant authority for the permanent installation of a manufactured home or mobile home for single-family residences in any zoning district in which such residences are permitted, provided that:
(1)
The structure is attached to and installed on a permanent foundation and the provisions of R.S. 9:1149.4 are complied with; and either
(2)
The structure is compatible, as defined herein, to surrounding site-built housing on both sides of the street or road within three hundred (300) feet and all abutting property; or
(3)
The applicant has a demonstrable hardship, does not meet the requirements of compatibility above, and the board receives a report by the department of inspection and code enforcement investigating the alleged hardship or receives other proof substantiating the alleged hardship.
