§ 4-3. Products not subject to chapter.

  • (a)

    This chapter shall not apply to the sale of:

    (1)

    Patent, antiseptic and toilet preparations;

    (2)

    Flavoring extracts, syrups and food products that are not usable for beverage purposes in their original state;

    (3)

    Scientific, chemical, mechanical and industrial products.

    (b)

    Nor shall this chapter apply to the manufacture or sale of alcohol which is for industrial use or purpose which is not manufactured or sold for beverage purposes and which is so denatured as to be unfit for human use or consumption.

    (c)

    Any person who shall knowingly sell any of the products enumerated in this section for beverage purposes or who shall sell any of them under circumstances from which he may reasonably deduce the intention of the purchaser to use them for such purposes, shall be subject to the penalties provided in this chapter.
