§ 5-31. Required insurance coverage for applicants for non-emergency transfer vehicle service license.

  • A non-emergency transfer vehicle shall not operate in this parish unless the following insurance coverage's are in effect:

    (1)

    For injury to or death of individuals resulting from any cause to which the owners of the vehicle would be liable, regardless of whether the vehicle was being driven by the owner or his/her agent and for damages to the property of another in the amounts specified in this article;

    (2)

    The applicant for a license to operate a non-emergency transfer vehicle service shall provide automobile liability insurance for not less than the following limits of liability: for each accident causing bodily injury (including death at any time resulting there from) one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) for each person; three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) for each accident; and three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) for property damage sustained in any one (1) accident;

    (3)

    The applicant for a license to operate a non-emergency transfer vehicle service shall provide general liability insurance in the amount of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) per occurrence and three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) in the aggregate.
