§ 6-78. Assembly and disbanding.

  • (a)

    The consumption of alcohol, including beer, in the assembly area is forbidden.

    (b)

    Each participant shall report to the designated assembly area at least one (1) hour prior to the scheduled start of the parade.

    (c)

    Entry by any participant, group or vehicle into the parade shall be permitted only at the designated assembly area, except in an emergency or when duly authorized by the captain, the parade marshal, or the office.

    (d)

    Exit by any participant, group or vehicle from the parade shall be permitted only at the designated disbanding area, except in an emergency or when duly authorized by the captain, the parade marshal or the office.

    (e)

    Each horse group shall be responsible for the removal of all droppings in the assembly and disbanding areas.

    (f)

    The starting times of scheduled parades, the assembly and disbanding locations shall be determined by the office of carnival and special events in conjunction with the sheriff's office, with timely notification to parading organizations.

    (g)

    Glass is prohibited in assembly or disbanding areas.

    (h)

    Discarding of debris, trash, and packaging in the disbanding areas is prohibited.

    (i)

    No vehicles shall be permitted in the assembly area within one (1) hour prior to the start of a parade, unless said vehicle(s) is authorized to be in the parade.
