§ 6-96. Enforcement.

(a)

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office and the Jefferson Parish Fire Department shall have the authority to issue citations for the violation of any of the provisions of this chapter.

(b)

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office and the Jefferson Parish Fire Department shall be authorized to remove any person, float, or vehicle of any sort from a parade if the person, float, truck-float, or vehicle is in violation of the provisions of this chapter.

(c)

The penalty for violation of any part of this division, chapter, and/or article shall be a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding six (6) months or both such fine and imprisonment, within the discretion of the court, in accordance with section 1-10 of the Jefferson Parish Code of Ordinances.
