This form issued under the authority of the Jefferson Parish Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance is a preliminary clearance form. All new businesses in Jefferson Parish
shall have an approved zoning clearance before commencing business operations. It
will state the zoning district classification of a property, its intended use, and
the permissibility of such intended use in the stated zoning district. Under no condition
shall this preliminary clearance, after issued, limit, restrain, or otherwise restrict
the parish from compelling full compliance with all applicable provisions of the Jefferson
Parish Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance or this chapter. No zoning clearance form shall
be issued until the processing fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) has been paid.
